** Two Weeks Old **

I have tried to take Ella's picture several times with her eyes open. However, she seems to have gotten her days and nights mixed up. She sleeps practically all day (the only time she is awake for more than 30 minutes is from 1am - 4am). :-)

I was finally able to capture one this past Sunday. I also included two other photos of her enjoying more daytime sleep! In one of them she is showing off her cute little dimple.

** One Week Old **

My new laptop arrived the day after I returned from the hospital - YIPPEE!! I still have tons of software to reload, but at least I am able to do some minimal photo editing. I took a few (hundred) photos of Ella Vee on her 1 week birthday.

She is a very cooperative subject and even turned out a big grin (see last photo) as she heard the camera clicking.

** JB turns TWO **

JB turned two this past Thursday - two days after baby SOOK arrived home. His cousins came up to visit Ella and celebrate his birthday with cake and a trip to the neighborhood pool.

BTW, he looks like a giant now compared to his little baby sister!

** Boys come to visit **

In case you weren't listening closely to the local weather forecasts, Tropical Storm Jackson and Hurricane JB travelled thru Rex hospital last week. In their first visit, they managed to set my bed alarm off (the nurse actually had to call engineering to fix it), locked my bed so that I could not raise or lower the bed, pulled the telephone out of the wall, spilled grape juice all over my bed, used the pull out sleeping chair as a trampoline, and used Baby Ella's nursery carrier as a push car. Needless to say, while I was so happy to see the boys, I relished in the nearly spa like atmosphere of my 4 evenings in the hospital!

** Ella Vee is Here!! **

Our beautiful baby girl arrived Friday, August 8th (08-08-08). Ella Vee was born at 9:30am weighing 8lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. She is healthy and SO sweet! The boys were very excited to meet their new sister. More pictures to follow of the boys with Ella (or SOOK as JB calls her.)

** NURSERY IS READY **

Where have I been? Wouldn't you know my laptop crashed exactly 1 month out of warranty? The technician suspects it's the motherboard - $400 at minimum to verify (with no guarantee). So, instead we have ordered me a new laptop but it will not be here until the 20th??!!

In the meantime, I am using our old desktop PC that sounds as if it will die any minute. So I am typing as fast as my fat little fingers will allow me. Trust me, my fingers are very fat right now... at least it is not my ankles!

Our baby girl will be here tomorrow (big gulp). With all the computer downtime, I was able to get the nursery finished. Attached are a couple of pictures. I had to take them with my little point and shoot since our PC won't read my other memory cards. Therefore, I couldn't get a wide angle shot - but you can at least get the idea of pink and green garden decor.
